Okay, so Wists are...kind of like internet bookmarks with pictures. A lot of people seem to use it for shopping, but I've followed the path of Craft. Behold: Mary's Wist

It's mostly full of knitting stuff, but I manage to find the weirdest shit, you know?

1) Posse, we need to make a zine, right? Right.

2) Cool place to get zines and related stuff: Microcosm Publishing (it's located in my hometown, too, although I'm bad and haven't been by their shop yet.)

3) Jay: vegan belts! I don't know if you've seen these before? I'd get one of the studded ones if it wasn't so expensive.

Okay, so I've momentarily given up on the photo-emulsion technique and am trying something a little more old-skool: drawing fluid and screen filler.

And so far it's WORKING. :D

With this method, I using drawing fluid to "paint" my image onto the clean screen. (In this case, I just traced over my design since I have it all printed up from the computer and everything.) Then, after the drawing fluid has dried, I carefully coated the screen with filler, and let that dry. Then I sprayed the the drawing fluid image with cold water and it came off, taking the bits of screen filler over top with it -- so that the image I want is clean screen, while everything else is filled with mud-colored screen filler.

I had to fuss with it a little and of course my lines aen't as nice as I'd like them, but things are working out so much better than with the photo-emulsion method.

In fact, as soon as Dan gets his buttocks back over here, I'm going to call him my bitch and have him hold the screen down while I test on paper one or twice, and then hopefully (finally) print on a shirt!
